DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to Dr. Timothy Kiogora, Associate Professor of Humanities, an affiliate faculty member in African and African American Studies, who taught AFA 201 (The African Experience) at Eastern Kentucky University for nearly twenty years before passing in 2012. His love for African studies was infectious, and his commitment to sharing his stories and experiences about Africa with EKU students was both informative and inspirational.
