Discussion: Jaffa Oranges
In remembering Jaffa's Oranges, the memories of planting and erasure as well as the need to affirm one's rootedness play a role in constructing narratives about appropriation of the land. Explain this role from both the Jewish and Palestinian perspectives in light of the documentary Jaffa the Orange's Clockwork and Bardenstein’s article “Threads of Memory and Discourses of Rootedness" (the documentary and articles are listed under Wednesday of week 4). How do the film and article offer these different perspectives? Minimum 500 words for the main post. No minimum number of words for the response.

- Respond to a classmate's post (3 points) - no minimum number of words.
