This is NGC 2359 (AKA Thor's Helmet). This is an emission nebula (I.e. a cloud of gas energized by a bright star at its center) located about 12 thousand light years away in the Constellation Canis Major (Big Dog). Well, what do you think? Does it look like Thor's helmet?
