The Line graph shows the small fluctuations in the cost of cheap whiskey from 1825-1880. You can see from 1825-1862 the average cost was between less than 20 cents and just below 50 cents. In 1863 there is a sharp and continuous increase in cost jumping up to $2.33 until 1867 when prices dropped to approximately half of that, just over $1.
