Fatima Koli

Jasmine Gates is a recent graduate of Barnard College and is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Health at Columbia University. As a part of the Trigger Planting 2.0 team, she focused on case studies examining the “Green Wave” of reproductive rights in Central and South America as well as examining the history and current accessibility of reproductive health services in Mozambique.

Silvia Giordano is a recent graduate of Barnard College and is currently working at an architecture firm in Philadelphia. As part of the Trigger Planting 2.0 team, she focused on reproductive health legislation in Italy and South Africa, analyzing how vague legislative language allows conscientious objection to create barriers to broader healthcare access.

Maureen Connor

Landon Newton is an artist, gardener, and independent researcher based in New York City. She is a co-creator of Trigger Planting 2.0. Her interdisciplinary practice explores the reciprocal relationships between plants and people. Recent awards and residencies include the Socrates Annual Fellowship, LMCC Artist-in-Residence at Governors Island, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, The Puffin Foundation, and Creative Capital’s On Our Radar. Her work has been exhibited at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Frieze New York, and the Queens Museum, among others. Her ongoing project, The Abortion Herb Garden, investigates the history and use of abortifacient, emmenagogic, and contraceptive herbs through site-specific installations, workshops, and publications—reframing gardens as spaces of resistance, care, and provocation.

Mengxi Xin is a Master of Architecture student at Columbia GSAPP and a Graduate Exhibition Assistant at the Milstein Library. She contributed to the production of Trigger Planting 2.0 Global (name?), focusing on reproductive rights research in China and Poland and curating audio materials. She also designed a series of Trigger Planting bookmarks for public events.
