Tutoring Services
Tutoring Services provides academic support through instructional technologies, professional tutors, peer tutors, and learning resources in a welcoming environment designed to promote student success.
Tutors work with students individually and in small groups to strengthen academic skills and improve course performance. Support is available in core subject areas such as reading, writing, mathematics, computer applications, and other disciplines. Select locations may also offer tutoring in specialized subjects, including science, foreign languages, nursing, and accounting.
Tutoring Services supports students at all academic levels, including those enrolled in developmental education, adult education, associate degree, and bachelor's degree programs.
Students enrolled in online courses may access tutoring services at any FSCJ campus or center or utilize the College's online tutoring resources. Online tutoring is available through College-supported platforms and provides both synchronous and asynchronous assistance across a variety of academic disciplines.
Tutoring Services is staffed by professional and peer tutors who provide subject-specific assistance, facilitate academic workshops, support the use of instructional technologies, and help students develop effective study skills and independent learning strategies.
